Hikikomori is a performative-audio-visual installation that has its starting point in the play with the same name written by Austrian playwright Holger Schober. It refers to the social phenomenon known especially in Japan, which is manifested by the withdrawal of the people from society (mostly young people) and the continuation of their existence in a single room.
