On Saturday, we will build dolls from all kinds of textiles along with Alex Zam, we will bring them to life, learn about them and use them in various contexts. Dolls can be helpful when trying to start conversations with new people!

This event is part of AnimaFest – independent international puppet theater and animation festival.

Workshop Facilitator: Apai Emese – emeseapai@gmail.com

Alex Zam was born in Bucharest and is studying Theatre Direction in Cluj. In her free time she works at the ArteANTREC Association. She is currently working on the project called “Attic with a view to culture”, through which she tries to encourage young people, through various activities and events, to express themselves creatively and publicly, to develop their passions and to learn working in a team.

ARTbecedar is a program dedicated to children. Parents can involve their children in creative activities coordinated by artists form the Paintbrush Factory and the artistic community around it. The children can meet the artists and learn from them about different work techniques and mediums, through practical activities and games. Each session is coordinated by an artist and a facilitator that helps with the group communication and dynamics, so that all the children are involved in the activities.

The organisers will provide all the necessary materials for each workshop. The workshops will take place at the Paintbrush Factory, in the artists studios or in other venues (the locations will be announced in advance).

By participating in the workshops, the children learn about contemporary art in a familiar language, getting acquainted to themes, subjects and artists. After each workshop, the participants can take some of the works home.
